Deep tissue massage helps improve range of motion in joints by breaking down scar tissue, knots and adhesions caused by injury, stress and bad posture. Very firm pressure is applied using the forearm, elbows and hands to target deep underlying muscle layers. In combination with deep tissue techniques, I also use Swedish relaxation techniques for a soothing effect.
