Alphacare requires I.D.'s now....

I called Ac sunday morning,wanting to see Angel.
I figured early (11:15am) shouldn't be that busy. This is how the conversation went.

Her: Hello Alphacare
Me: Hi how are you?
Her: ok...
Me: Whats the situation with Angel?
Her: What do you mean by that? (voice turning deeper)
Me: Is she available?
Her: What did you say?
Me: I said is she available?
Her: She's in the room now, but in about 1/2 hour, she's free.
Me: fine I'll see her then.
Her: Whats your name?
Me: Elvis ( I used this name in the past, have several friends called Elvis and even at Ac never had a problem)

Her: WHAT DID YOU SAY? Raising her voice.
Me: I Said Elvis, why?

At this point she sounds angry and her voice sounded almost like the exorcist lol

She goes: WE DON't APPRECIATE OUr CUSTOMERS making fun of us at Alphacare.
Me: I said whats wrong with Elvis? I'm not making fun of you.

Still angry she goes: your name is Elvis right?
I say yes.

She: Ok when you get here, you have to show me I.D.
Me: Sorry I don't show id its personal.

She: well, your going have to show it if you want to come here.
Me: I never had to show an id there I have been there many times.

She: Well its a new bylaw now ok? Everyone has to show their id.
Me: I said fine.

She: Why can't you call yourself john or bob?

I finished the conversation, thinking: Dam I know these people go thru lots of assholes, drunks, but I was polite from the begining. WHF is her problem?

I thought about it for a bit, called and cancelled for Angels sake. I don't need this shit first thing sunday morning.

I know that AC is a nofrill place, but wtf they don't need to be rude.
By the way the fellow that answers in the evening I never had a problem with....

If they can't handle stress, maybe Manegemant should get someone thats more cut out for it.....

1.) Who starts a call with "What's the situation with Angel?" That's idiotic and low class.
2.) I'm going to assume Alpha Care had a recent problem with someone named "Elvis" and it was bad timing on your part.
3.) I've only been to AC once, but called three times and twice those times the guy answering the phone was a total ass.

If this is a new bylaw on showing ID's then all of the spas in Toronto will have to do the same. Blue Pearl, Platinum, Studio 9, Star Studio, etc. We'd have heard about it already.

I can see them asking if you look underage but that's about it.

i am one is correct about starting a call off with "What's the situation with Angel?" as being low class. That just reeks of disrespect and that's the quickest way to turn off a MPA. Also, at AC as far as I know all the managers are male so if you got a woman answering she could have been an MPA that was covering the phones. If this is the case and she's not busy but the other girls are she's probably already pissed off and won't stand a possible crank call.

To me it sounds like a good receptionist!

She's thinking on her feet and filtering the calls for the girls as she''s been told to.

I'm pretty certain they get a pretty odd mix of people coming through the door on any given day. If they can lessen what they see as a potential problem..everyone at the spa is happier.

Next time try using the name Mr. Parker, retired Military.

I think Angel does well at Ac, and I agree that you propably talked to an jealous mp.
I find the folks at ac to be rude, at work I also get many calls from customers asking "whats the situation with this or that" and depending on the tone, i don't find it necessarly rude or low class.
Even if you were a yahoo, they should still be polite.
But I really think it was an angry mp, at times they can be catty.

I have never had a problem @ AC. I wouldn't say they are the friendliest people, no hugs,kisses and water bottles. But they go thru routine good enough, "here's your room" "wheres da money?" "You have an appointment?" (Always book an appointment!!) "Take a shower" "see you". Even when I didn't have an appointment I asked who was available and they let me see her. And NO I don't work,date,or have any personal realtionships with anyone @ AC

NEver been asked for ID. But they don't make it easy for you to pick a girl. Usually asking for names helps if you read up on them first. Not a place to TOFTT. Pluses would be late hours, cheap price.

I was at AC that same night and certainly didnt have to show any id so i think it probably had to do with the use of asking after the mpa's "situation". Unless your Wolf Blitzer calling from the "Situation Room"tm you might come across as disrespectful or worse.
