not to jump off topic, but seeing this kind of wages in mexico helps me understand why the zona is such an appealing alternative to many mexican women.
In regards to the issue in this thread, I do think that most traditional latinas expect their man to pay for almost everything. The good thing about this is that USUALLY, if you do get into a marital situation they will take care of an excessive portion of the household chores and give their man less shit for him following hedonistic pursuits (compared to a gringa)

Some are and some are not.

I recently went out drinking with 4 chicas and we had 6 buckets of beer and they did not let me pay once.

Now these were prostitutes and they tend to spend money on men to show that they like you.

The mother of my son(A Chilanga) often invited me to the movies. I paid way more than my share but she every now and then took care of the entire date. I don't think there is a better woman on the planet either. Her entire family embraces me even though we have been apart nearly 8 years I would say. We talk nearly daily and she is a great Mother. I wish she lived closer as I do miss seeing her, and of course my son.

My girlfriend now pays for nothing, however she earns 700 pesos a week in a factory and takes care of 5 other people with that money.

My experiencie has been Latinas keep their purse close and closed- anyone else have an opinion or experience. I am not being judgemental, I accept it, but those I have dated expect me to pay for EVERYTHING-
