Does anyone know if there is a 'recognised' rate of pence per mile for travel expenses?
A friend has agreed to do some reflexology for me (I'm so excited as I LOVE reflexology) and I have said I will cover her travelling as I benefit more from being at home for the treatments.
She qualified a few years ago, then never used her qualification and has lost a lot of her confidence. I had to really encourage her to say yes to treating me.
So, I would like to offer her something for her services too, but she doesn't want to accept anything.
what is an average going rate for a reflexology treatment and what do you think i should offer, taking into account that she IS fully qualified, yet feels her skills have somewhat 'lapsed' and she is no longer in a recognised body of therpists or has insurance.
maybe I should offer something instead of money - but I don't know what. She leads a very frugal, green life, so won't appreciate things for the sake of it. her hubby is the manager of a box scheme, so a selection of organic veggies each time I see her isn't exactly a welcome pressie either as she can get what she wants for free as a perk of his job..................
Any ideas?
