Hello everyone
Im three seminars into training in Biodynamic approach to CranioSacral Therapy
I have a bit of confsuion going on in regards to the Biodynamic approach to CST (BCST) versus other approaches.
Do they more or less aim/accoplish the same things? Would CST (e.g. Upledger) be considered as more structuraly orientated? Is unwinding present in BCST? What do you guys understan as unwinding anyway?
Up till now for me unwinding is a resource the body has to untangle. I've always heard it refered to in myofascial listening techniques (e.g. diaphragm "sandwich" technique)
In somato emotional release I understand that regular CST looks for restrictions and aims at releasing them while BSCT just listenes to the system and it will do the releases if it feels like it or in the order it feels like. The same with still points, CST induces them while BSCT lets the system do them on it's own or propose them through intention.
In cranial work do people normally stay purist for one style?
I mean as much as Im loving BCST, Im one who always thinks there is value in other schools and trainings. I've gone through Hugh Milne's book on his visionary approach and there are certainly a lot of ideas that can be brought to any practice.
And on side note can anyone point me out some cranial resources or if there is any forum devoted to craniosacral therpy dicussion (because ther should be one by now me thinks)?
I'm confused
