For anybody who keeps tabs on Japan's sex industry will certainly know of the on-going campaign Japan's NPA is on to crackdown on foreign women brought into Japan for the purpose of sex work. We here is a recent report/update:

Really for any keen observer or those in the know, this is mostly for show. Japan has a 'hybrid' human trafficking system to guarantee a steady flow on foreign sex workers to meet local demand... Case and point would be moves that the Japanese touted as 'ground breaking' advance to combat Filipinas entering the country for sex work - they cut the visa allowance from 120,000 a year to about 80,000... 'Oh well then, we're sorted!'
