GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A former massage therapist accused of inappropriately touching four different women has entered no contest pleas to sex assault charges.
Oliver Henry Snyder, 37, of Comstock Park, entered pleas Monday, March 21 to four counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
He is to be sentenced June 1.
A report from the state’s Licensing and Regulatory Affairs division shows that Snyder’s massage therapy license was revoked in August.
The report detailed accusations from four different women. The inappropriate touching happened in August 2019, February 2020, December 2020 and January 2021.
He worked at NV Massage Therapy in Wyoming at the time of the first three incidents, according to a licensing revocation order. For the most recent incident, he worked at Professional Therapeutic Massage in Grand Rapids, records show.
According to the records, one woman complained he touched too closely to her private areas. Another told investigators she fell asleep during the massage and awoke to find Snyder touching her breasts. Yet another woman told a similar story, alleging Snyder moved a sheet down her body and began touching her breasts.
Fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison.
