Four hand massage?

Has anyone received or given a 4-hand massage?

How is the draping different? How do you drape when massaging legs and hips?

Do you use mirroring or cut the work in half ...upper vs lower?

I received a cranial-sacral session from two people at once, they call it multi-hand instead of 4-hand. I had no idea what to expect, as I had never experienced a strickly cranial-sacral session before, even from one therapist. I was clothed and supine the entire time, under a little blanket just for warmth/comfort, so there were no draping issues. They divided the...the ME (LoL) into upper body and lower body, from what I can remember. (I was fairly zoned out.)

I've given part of a 4-hand massage once before. We mostly mirrored each other with exception for part of the back & neck/head when we split & the client received extra hand & feet work. During the session the legs were undraped by pulling the sheet up under the leg ~ both sides at once to expose both legs. I think we just rolled the sheet up under itself to work the glutes/hips.

My wife and I like giving four or tandem massages. Very unique experience from what were told. The advaneforum.xxxe of receiving a four handed massage is that your mind cannot focus on any one pair of hands for very long.After a while the mind just lets go and just experience.

When we work we don't syncronize we usually work on opposite sides of the table. If I'm working the nech head she might be working the feet legs. If I'm on the right side shes on the left. You defininately have to check your ego at the door when you work with another therapist.

As far as doing it you both can't be doing deep work thats uncomfortable. Only one person at a time for that. Also as a recipient of the bodywork you get the benefits of two therapists thats greater then the sum of its parts.

As far as performing the massage I enjoy it more then working by myself because you get to share the load with someone else, takes the pressure off.
