HEAT unit investigation leads to closure of Reno massage parlor - Reno Gazette Journal

A Reno massage parlor has closed following a monthslong investigation by the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit into suspected prostitution.

The investigation into 7 Star Massage, located at 3967 S. McCarran Blvd., included surveillance operations and a review of online advertisements over the last seven months, police said.

On Feb. 26, police notified the property owners that alleged illegal activity was occurring on the premises. The property owners subsequently evicted the business, leading to its closure on March 13.

The HEAT Unit is conducting similar investigations at other massage parlors in Reno, authorities said.
