help needed with these questions

Hi all,


I have these two questions in my exam paper and for the life of me i have searched and searched and cant make sense of the first one. I am doing aromatherapy and the lessons cover areas of the brain yes but not these ones and i cant get an answer anywhere...i am hoping somenoe here can help me

1) What is the difference between unconsciousness and the unconscious?

what i do have on that is only that a therapist enables you to enlist the help of your unconscious mind to bring about therapeutic changes. Your therapist can assist you to access your inner resources to achieve realistic goals. But that was in relation to hynotherapy.........

2) does the mind use the brain or does the brain use the mind?

I would say the brain uses the mind but the i may be wrong just want to know if anyone else knows this and can help me as my brain is damn fried now haaha god i am going for a soak in the bath to switch off for an hour..

I'm just taking it that as consciousness is the state of being conscious then unconsciousness must be the state of being unconscious.

Conscious = awake and aware of one's surroundings and identity

Unconscious = not conscious, that part of the mind which is inaccessible to the consious mind but which affects behaviour, emotions etc..
