If you had, or had someone to build you, a Wardian case it would be more successful, Orchids don't like breezes and Ward invented a plant terrarium that didn't need to be opened. Putting tropical plants, vines and some filtered water in this, along with the proper ph soil, and closing the lid encourages the plant life within to procreate without any interference, because they create their own ecosystem, living off one another's co2 to survive. They can live for over a year in this.
