How do SPs set their prices?

I often wonder where independent girls get their prices. How do you decide what to charge?
Now, most people make much less than that average, which is lifted by some of the ultra-high wage earners in management, etc. A guy making half the average would have to work 5 days for a one hour session. A guy making minimum wage would have to work more than 7 days for a one hour session. But even if a guy makes double the average, he would have to work 10 hours for a one hour session.

Does that seem reasonable?

Obviously you can set your prices how you see fit. I'm just interested in discussing the subject and learning the basis on which you set your rates.​

It's a reasonable question, there's a thought process involved for them.
I imagine they look around to see what others charge, they might undercut them at the beginning to develop business or charge more if they get too many calls.
Some prefer to work only a few hours a week while others don't mind a few clients each day.
It's not a job anyone can do.
In the end the rate is up to them, we're lucky Toronto is fairly competitive and we have several choices so the price doesn't get crazy.

They follow basic supply and demand principles based on free market competition and conditions - that's how.

Time and services vary in price at all levels, as varied as there are ladies of the night.

If a high volume of hobbyist want to book the limited time of a quality lady, then prices may be higher than a lady who is available more often, but has less hobbyist requesting her time.

In the end thou - there usually are reasons why one would spend a couple $xxx on a SP one night and then $xxxx on another SP another night arty:

The legal, but unregulated market in Southern Ontario is about the most perfect example of capitalism you can find. The www is a huge help (for sellers AND buyers) as the gals can see what others are doing in the market and the buyers have a quick and easy way to compare.

Established gals adjust their rates to the market, based on:

Are they getting the KIND of clients they want, as OFTEN as they want, with the LEAST amount of hassle?

Somehow I doubt an independent SP wants to service men who make minimum wage. Some SPs charge higher rates simply to deter undesirable clients.

I would not say that minimum wage guys are less desireable, but to be honest, minimum wage guys might not want to spend their money this way? Sps provide a "luxury" service. It is not a basic thing like food, rent or utilities. It should be used as a special occasion, save up for it if necessary or using money that is not needed elsewhere. If the expense is a burden, then do not do it.

In other words, sps are not responsible for setting prices that make them accessible to anyone with a couple of twenties in their pocket so they set a rate that makes them comfortable and happy about the tradeoffs of providing very intimate encounters with strangers who might end up hurting them.

I think that sps come up with their rates based on their market (what rates are typically charged now by sps with similar features like age, location and services). Rates can also be like an ad to indicate quality. Someone who advertises a lower than "standard" rate would be avoided, and someone who charges a standard or slightly above would be considered safer. The TGTBT factor in that lower rate, in other words. So a smart sp would not undercut the current rates, because it might work against her. She might find that that encourages discount seekers (looking to cut the rate even lower), aggressive or unpleasant clientele (the good ones are avoiding her, remember) and possible rip offs (stealing or not paying, because they figure she is a druggie or possibly new enough not to know better)

They start out charging around what others charge, and then raise and lower it if they are getting more or less business than they want. Kind of like any other business!

If an SP only wants to see 3 guys a day but she is getting 5 or 6 calling she will raise her rate until she is only seeing 3 guys a day. If she is only seeing 3 and she would like to see 5.. lower it!

I saw the most darling SP a few years back who had raised her rates because she had a breast enlargement done and figured that pooners should shoulder the cost of her wonderful new puppies . Kind of throws elasticity of demand into a tail spin : . She was out of the business shortly thereafter.

This isn't rocket science . Internet allows quick research and current market conditions and then the lady decides on how busy she wants to be . Sets price and then adjusts to market response .

Sp's don't actually determine the price . Clients do .

Having said that we also need to look at cultural profiling . South and Central American ladies will work for $80 to $100 per half hour . Asians will work for $100 per half hour . The white girls like around $150 per half hour . Girls from the America's I understand because they can be had for $40 or $50 back home . Asians I understand because for $100 you can get them for 24 hours back home . The white girls I also understand because although $150 per half sounds like a lot they only get to keep at most $100 of that and 10 to 12 dates a week gives them a little better than an average salary by Canadian standards . Fact is there is a minimum hookers will work for based on their personal experience of their value in the market place .

I have met a few very bright gals who did not have extended hours posted.

When we planned long visits 5-12 hours, they would propose rates where (for example)

the 7th hour was more than the AVERAGE of the first 6:shock:!

They just never thought it through, and were haphazardly 'ball parking'

The most financially successful SPs have STEEP discounts for multi-hours-days. Which assumes of course that its a client they can STAND for that long.

Professional Service Providers consult the OSPMB, otherwise known as the:

Ontario Service Provider Marketing Board.

After detailed analysis, inspection, and clearance by all interested and concerned parties, a rate structure is established for that individual Service Provider.

Any changes or variences from the authorized rate structure must be submitted to the OSPMB, which will review and hand down a decision within 3 weeks.

It may sound quite complicated, but the system seems to work.

The one thing that has made me scratch my head on occasion is the lower cost for the ladies services in Montreal. I find the cost of living not too much different in comparison to Toronto, yet the deals for SPs are at a better rate in Montreal.
