Itโs a crap shoot anyway you look at it.
These days, everything happens so fast, it gets frustrating when your Amazon order doesnโt show up the next day. Our expectations have been so heightened, we get pissed when we donโt receive a โtimelyโ response doing anything. (Texting, shopping)
Typically, if it is someone I have seen in the past, my name is saved on their phone so I am return customer, (tried and true $$) and in turn, will most likely receive a much faster response. (1-1/2 hours if they are busy. Instantly if they are not)
Out of respect for a new provider (to me), I like to give one dayโs grace through text. If I donโt see something back within 24 hr, I drop it.
If they respond the next day I will ask the usual questions and possible book a time (if I havenโt already somewhere else) If I have already booked somewhere else, I never let them know. I typically say I am just inquiring about services and that my schedule is crappy.
I have been blocked before for asking if they โhave an opening this afternoonโ, not get a response, booking somewhere else, then get a response 4 hours later from the original saying โyes! You come now?โ When I mention that I found another place, I become โthat guyโ and now every time I text, I get the โno, we busy nowโ
Pretty sure I am saved as โdonโt book with this guyโโฆโฆ..guy.
But if I text with my other phone, 5 minutes after the first rejection (work vs personal) they are happy to have me โcome at any time hun!โ
I hope I answered you question correctly. I tend to ramble and loose focus.
