A $55.00 charge for a massage is pretty cheap. But you also have to look at your bill. For example, was the gratuity charged with the massage. Some massage places do that. If the gratuity was charged with the price included. Then, you don't have to worry about tipping so much. Because you already did.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That's awful..... The average amount for a hr massage is $20.. I'm a massage therapist and get a average of $10 for 20 min chair massages... The only way you can get away from giving a lousy tip like that is if the person is a self employed Therapist since they get the 100% base price.
