SILVIS, Illinois - For many people getting a massage is a day at the spa, but for some of the golfers at the John Deere Classic this week it's a key part of their training.
Local 4 News got a look at the Massage Envy Player Performance Center. Staff members use a series of stretches called the Streto Method to increase flexibility.
Professional golfer Patrick Rogers is playing in the john Deere classic this week and he said the massage therapy is a huge part of success.
"Fitness is a lifestyle for me and so I try to mix it up as best I can and have fun in my time in the gym," Rogers said. "It's been fun to see some results and see it translate to the golf course and feel like you have an advantage physically."
It's one of four trailers used by the PGA Tour. However, Massage Envy says you can ask to be stretched just like a pro-golfer.
