KTV is about having fun. You might can get laid afterwards but it's not the main purpose.

I normally go to KTV with collegues or bring clients there. We can talk about business while having fun, or simply form a better relationship during the party. How can you do that if it's just 15 mins "pick up and leave" in Manhatton?

Beside, you can call it hypocrisy but most people don't want to fully reveal their mongering habit to others, epecially not to colleagues or business partners. And someone doesn't even have the habit and might get offended by hardcore prostitution. So KTV is the best choice for these occasions because it's more softcore.

I've been living in U.S. before but I'm Chinese, or more precisely, Shanghainese.

I go to KTVs with colleagues and Friends occasionally but none of the KTVs we've been to has decent collection of English songs or English speaking girls. My boss and customers became very fond of KTVs recently and my assignment is to find a KTV fits the description. Beside, I myself enjoy mongering a lot, Sauna, BBS, KTV, you name it.

I have 2 suggestions: First one is 919 on the corner of Shanxi lu and Janguo lu. If you want you can see the girls that work there going close to the back door , on Shanxi lu around 6 / 7 pm, they arrive at this time and they are very nice.
The second one is on the corner between Whei Hai lu and Shimen lu. Same story , you can watch the girls arriving and getting in on the side door on Shimen lu, near the Construction bank, they are gorgeous

So, I was wondering how much "extras" usually run. Does the girl leave with you? When you rent the KTV room, how long do you get?

It's about 900RMB for the room plus 300 for the dj. Then for each girl it's about 300RMB for the night. It works out to about 600RMB each if we get enough people. Anything else is between you and her

Hey guys,

I've been in town for about 6 months and I've had a few chances to go to KTV with some buddies who speak decent Mandarin. I know a place and I can get around so if there's anyone who want's to join pm me and we'll take it from there. The room itself was about 900RMB for a bit of booze and food plus 300RMB per girl. I'm sure there's nicer places that charge a lot more but where I go I'm pretty happy with. Thanks
