LOS in May - any good?

Hi guys. I'll be visiting Phuket in the first week of May 2006. Time is limited as I'll only be spending 3 nites on this island. Besides the Mai Thai Bar, can u guys recommend to me the "Must Go Places" in Phuket?

Been doing a lot of reading on this forum and I gather the BF ranges between 300-500BHT. ST goes for around 1000BHT and LT between 1000-2000BHT? Correct me if I am wrong. Are these rates consistent the whole year round or could it be lower during the "low" season?

And how much do i expect to pay for in-room massages + extras?

Any other places that offers Soapies besides Christins?

I hope you guys can help me out...I want to make this a memorable trip and hopefully make Phuket a yearly holiday destination. Thanks!

There ate Pink Lady massage parlours in Phuket town which offer the same as Christins.

Three days is not a lot of time and you won't even have got fully around the Bangla Road nightlife area in such a short time.The guys in MTB will give you a few shortcuts.

A few tips...
- ST go for 500 baht.
- LT go for 1000 baht, some for a little more.
- One hour traditional thai massage for 200 baht.
- One hour oil massage for 300 baht.

Extra normally 3-500 baht.

Recommend you also visit Angels.

Looks like the specifics have already been covered. So let me just add that my first trip to Phuket (and in fact LOS) was May, and it was fantastic.

Rather than going on and on about how many wonderful sights and sounds you'll experience, let me tell you about the only "bad" things about May (which really aren't bad at all) in my opinion:

It may rain a bit. NBD.

The beaches will be somewhat quiet compared to high season. Good for relaxing, but bad if you're looking for that big party atmosphere at the beach.

The total numbers of TGs in Patong will be less than in the high season, but again, NBD. Still plenty and many nice ones! :biggrinlo

That's about as bad as it gets! I think you picked a great time for your first tour. Just pop down to Nicke's bar (the Mai Thai Bar) first chance and EVERYTHING should fall nicely into place from there.

ST66, that rates are certainly the ones that #SHOULD# be paid; unluckily you will see that a lot of girls are living in a crazy dreamworld where they will quote you quite shamelessly 1500 for ST and think that LT might end after a stint of 2 hrs in your room (especially with girls from Soi Eric).

So better to get into specifics with the particular girl you are interested in to avoid disappointment on both sides.

Hi guys...thanks for the tips. Yeah, I know 3 days isn't quite enough but that's the most I can do for this trip. So if I have a great time, I'll definetely go back for more.

ST66....what do you mean by extras for the massages? Is it like a HJ, BJ or the full works? Hope you can clarify that, don't want to be making a fool of myself.

Price for extra allways depends on the girl, but as what I know off:
HJ - 3-500 baht
BJ - never tried that
Full works - 1000 baht

A sign that the massage girl would be interested in doing extra is that she asks you to drop all your clothes for a start, and I mean it all.
Normally I keep my underwear on, and if the girl then asks me to take that off too I know she is interested.
And we talk Oil Massage here, I normally take 2 hours.
Then normally she start with your back side, and when you turn arround to get the front part, she may at some point in time by mistake touch you a certain place (when she give your upper legs massage) and then she may ask you about extra :ytounge:

I was visiting Chiang Mai start of February. Prices for massage are lower up there. One place the girl was playing Tibetan mantra (relaxing music with the same words said again and again over long time), it gave me a very relaxing 1 hour traditional massage

Do any of you lads no if there are any places to go for the works on Koh Samui for a massage, as I'm going with the missus but hope to venture off for a tattoo leaving her at the hotel for the day. Have heard that you pick the girl you like and take it from there in some places, is this true and if not how do you go about getting a quickie ????

Chaweng beach has one obvious one.. Began with a P I think, may have been piano or pink or some other.. On Chaweng beach Rd with lots of girls in miniskirts outside waving and hollering in the evening.
