SEATTLE — OK, so that's a headline we never thought we'd write.
But as the first quarter of Sunday's Seahawks win over the Broncos rolled on, an unexpected guest appeared on the TV broadcast.
Seahawks legend and fan favorite Marshawn Lynch walked into frame during the game as head coach Mike Macdonald was trying to coach the team. A shoulder massage and some kind words later, it was a video the entire football world loved to see.
Including Macdonald.
"Never had a former player talk to me midgame. It's pretty cool," Macdonald said. "I was like, we have another three quarters to play. It's awesome. He's one of my favorite players of all time. He's incredible.
"Yeah, funny. Came up right behind me. I found myself talking to him as they were taking the field. I was like, 'Oh, shoot, I need to call on first down.'"

The follow-up questions for Macdonald were just as humorous.
One reporter asked what Lynch said. Macdonald said it was something about the Seahawks defense. When asked if it was the first in-game "neck rub" he's had, Macdonald replied, "Is that what he did? I guess I blacked out."
Lynch, for what it was worth, was on hand as part of theEA SPORTS Madden NFL Cruiser for the famous video game that comes out each year. Lynch was there as an "official ratings adjustor" helping the Seahawks players get better ratings in the game.
So Macdonald's debut will be remembered for a major win. But it also will be remembered for his interaction midgame with a Seahawks all-time fan favorite.
