The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a small fire Wednesday morning at Hamilton Place Mall that was caused by a massage chair, according to a news release.
Multiple crews worked to extinguish the fire outside of the first floor of JC Penney shortly before 3 a.m., with significant smoke and water damage reported in the area of the mall.
The cause of the fire has been narrowed down to an electrical problem or a malfunction with the chair.
