MG Sports Massage opens in Rocky River - cleveland.com

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- A new business has opened on Center Ridge Road in Rocky River: MG Sports Massage.

Owner Maricel Galarza-Arroyo, who lives in Grafton, explains her business:

“We specialize in sports and deep tissue massages. We also offer relaxation/therapeutic massage, pregnancy massage and hot stone massage.

“If you have any muscle pain, sports injuries or just need to relax, we will take care of your needs.”

Her location, which had a first open house on Nov. 2, took over a very small, one-story building that used to be a window business.

The building is not wide, but it is surprisingly quite long.

Galarza-Arroyo opened the business in March 2015 in Grafton, then moved into the Center Ridge Road location last January.

She earned her license back in 2011.

She said she loves the Rocky River area, as well as its close proximity to downtown Cleveland.

Most of her clients range in age from 16 to 60, though she has had some clients older than 60 and as young as a freshman in high school.

One does not have to be athletic to benefit from MG Sports Massage’s treatments. The therapies can help relieve the pain of an active lifestyle or from stress.

MG Sports provides four massage rooms, an infrared sauna and will be getting a cold tub soon (like an ice bath). There is also a stretch room, a break room and even compression therapy to “get one’s blood going.”

Galarza-Arroyo’s goal is “I want all to recover like a pro.”
