need advice on couches

Am just starting out as a mobile therapist and need to buy a good couch would really like some advice on the best ones to get that won't break my back carrying but are still very sturdy and reliable please??

PS. have only done beauty speacialist stuff so far but would like to expand my skills in time.

Hi Sars

I am a mobile therapist and I got my couch of ebay - I love it and have been very happy since I got it 18months ago. It is very light has a shoulder strap and carry strap on the side which is great. Comes with a removable head rest with sling which tucks under the couch as you pack it away.

It is sturdy and wide, the only drawback is that the back doesnt rise up but it was not a function I used very often anyway so chose lightness over that.

Thanks for replying hemelgirl I did try the link but it just comes up item not availible anymore was it on a e-bay shop or just a private listing? do you mind me asking how much you paid for it?
Can I ask you what you transport all your equipment in and is it easy once you get into the swing of lugging it all round? I'm so sorry to go on I have so many questions

hi sars,

the one hemel posted was a flat table so it won't be any good for you anyway, you will need one with a tiliting back rest for beauty therapy.

from your post above i take it you need a lightweight couch which is difficult when looking or a couch with a back rest.

there is one which is 12kg called the rem airlight. google it and see what you think. it will be more expensive than a table bought from ebay but you will get what your after in terms of quality and the ligtweight factor

it's a little on the narrow side for massage but good for beauty and for someone looking for a lightweight couch with a back rest i think the airlight is a good compromise.

I paid £140 which included a case and postage, I ordered it on the Friday and it was delivered on the Monday but as Luck says if you need a couch with a rising back then this may not be for you

I have to put the couch on the back seat of my car as I have only got a corsa and it doesnt fit in the boot but that said I put the rest of my equipment in the boot including towels, oils and on some occasions my hot stones equipment which I have in a large plastic box
