Whenever I try to join a chat room, an error pop up always says "the request was refused" after it loads the room, and the chat window automatically closes. then a bit later, another pop-up window says "signing into Chat took longer than expected. Please try again later."

Is there some kind of option on a preference menu I need to uncheck to make this work?? It's worked for me before, so I don't understand what is happening.
