Out for a bloody Sunday (May 30th) stroll, around 1:30pm walking past New Fantasy when I decided there was always time to stick at least my head in there and check out the talent. With IDEM closed and Eros not open until 2pm, I figured it to be pretty quiet in NF. But there were 21 girls sitting on the couches or standing all with their beady little eyes stuck on me, I almost shit!

I had things planned to do, but what can I say, duty called! $45 for an hour with one girl they said, or 27K colones. Hold on a minute lovey, I thought $45 was about 23K colones and 27K colones about $50? So they point to this sign which says they BUY at 500 and they SELL at 600. Hell, I just want a little shagging and I’m paying with your money… WTF? All I had was colones so I think they stiffed me first before I got a chance to stiff them. Just wanted to give you an update on this and invite others to post their comments.

There were some hotties in there; a small gorgeous spinner called Carolina, Caroleena they said. A tall one that I really liked called Monique, Stephanie and some others. After paying $60 at IDEM a few days earlier (31K colones) I was thinking this was a little steep and maybe the MPs are ganging up to keep upping the costs? But I was past the point of no return and so decided I had to indulge. But when I went to DATY the girl (whom I will not name as she is a “good” girl) said to me she wants another $20 for that! That kinda killed the session!

If I was in my room I would have thrown her out, nicely of course. But they’ve already got your $50 so you have to try to continue in some sorts, but to cut a long story short we were done and I was out of there in less than 40 minutes. No point in bitching, just another lesson learned which I wanted to pass on. Personally I’m not sure if that’s the policy of the MP or comes down to individual girl’s discretion, I suspect the latter. Just be warned and good hunting.

Seems to be the same pricing strategy they were using at hlh in April, the cheapest way to go is pay in U.S. dollars at these 2 places. It's so counter to what we've always done in the past, pay in the local currency around town & you're supposed to get the best rate.

This was my experience in May. Charged me more in colones than in U.S. dollars. Picked a hot girl, but she wanted to upcharge me big time - $40 for 69! The session was fine, but I didn't like the exchange rate and refused to pay the huge up-charge. You'd think she'd almost pay me for DATY!

Hmm, sounds to me from all the upcharging they're doing that it might not even be worth going there anymore. The price for the session isnt bad, but once you start adding everything else on, might as well not go. You can find plenty of girls to do what you're asking without all the upcharging.
Another problem is that when one girl does it, and the guy pays, she tells every other girl in there, and they start doing it too.

The MP's aren't doing this on purpose. They are just using the Tico way of doing business, slow to react to market changes. : : :

The reason that this is happening is because the dollar tanked from Nov-April. And the MP's just aren't acting quickly enough. The price in dollars is constant, but the colon price changes (or should change) based on the exchange rate movement.

In the past, when the dollar gained against the colon, the MP's would not change their price in colones often enough to keep up with the exchange rate changes, so it was better to pay in colones.

But late last year until last month, the colon has risen against the dollar, and again, the MP's aren't changing the price in colones quickly enough, so it's the reverse now, and it's better to pay in dollars.

The MP's will eventually "catch up" with the exchange rates and even (or close to even) out the two prices.

That was my initial reaction, but if I do go back I'll definitely pay in dollars and will try and discretely ask a chica I like, about any upcharges ahead of time. That way they get to know that we know that is what they're doing; that I'm not suckered into already having paid and can still walk out if she wants to upcharge. It will also be clear the reason I left was the upcharge and nothing more.

This also is a great idea that I meant to actually do but my mind went blank through loss of blood!

I always talk to the girl before going into the room and tell her what I want and how much I`m willing to tip to get what I want.This can weed out most of the upselling but isn`t always 100% fool proof.

hard question to answer.....yes, when it was Zona Blue, they did in fact have a steam room.....now that it is the Hotel Little Havana, they don't. It was removed during renovations Hopefully this post contained some useful information for the good Brotherhood
