No not the ones who just offer injections! There is a guy in leicester in his 70's who uses very rare techniques to identify and rectify any misallignment and disks that are bulging in your spine.
He places a stethoscope on your spine and users a nerve hammer on each side of the spine (not on the spine) to identify where your problems are. He can tell by the difference in noise between in vertibrae as to where the problems are and then goes about re alligening the whole spine in one session using very gentle techniques - no forcing clunking or clicking. I've been to him twice when I had scatica and walked out 100% symtom free. Unfortionately as my problem is down to instability my joint clunked out of place about a week later and the problem came back so am having to try a different approach before going back to visit him.
It cost £200 for the first visit and its well worth a shot as he can free up nerves in one visit and does not uses the classic heavy handed techniques that can do more hard than good...
To prove his technique of identifying a bulging disk is right I had an scan which showed a very minor bulding disk at L3 but without any neural compression. Low and behold when I went to visit him he tested my spine and said you have a very minor disk protrusion at L3 but your probelsm are coming from your sacro allignment which is causing neural irritation - I didn't even tell him about my MRI scan until after he had looked at me. So if you have neaural compression/irritation this guy is well worth a shot -
For those who know he used to work with professor james cyiax who was one of the founders to the orthopaedic approach to back problems. Infact cyiax used to send patients up to him in leciester if he couldn't ifx them
