I recently began working with a client that previously had ovarian cancer that was successfully treated. She is still suffering with ovarian cysts and has discomfort and pain associated with the condition.

My research has led me to see that the bladder meridian as well as kidney meridian's may be involved in such conditions. While doing work on the superficial myofascial back line, the client experienced a sensation and shift. I have noted that this line has many parallels to the bladder meridian.

I would value any experience, suggestions and/or research that any one has.

i had an ovarian cyst myself, but it was prior to MT school and due to the way life was going I wasn't able to pursue locating more natural practitioners than my allopathic OB; after watching it for a year we opted to have it removed. i have no additional info to add, but will be interested in following this thread.

2 years ago I had 2 dermoid cysts and one ovary removed. You didn't specify the type of cysts your client is deal with, but something you might want to work on with her is addressing the fascia in the abdominal area. Even after a couple years, lot's of CFF on my scar, and a significant amount of yin yoga, I find my fascia to be tight and twisted and uncomfortable.

As for meridian work, I have nothing to offer, as I haven't pursued eastern modalities since I was in school.

I have had 2 burst on me not fun !!!!! Both times were after intercourse. Labor was less painful

I see clients with a variety of cysts and several with poly cystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). I focus on the reproductive and endocrine reflexes as well as pelvic area reflexes. I am constantly fascinated by the ability to feel the cysts in the ovary reflex.

What about Arvigo abdominal massage? Would those techniques be helpful to release things in the abdomen and pelvis?
