I am just curious... right now I am trying to not stress myself out with details by continuing to work full time at my regular job and just massage part time on an outcall basis until I have enough clients to warrant renting space on the weekends. I am doing this so I don't have to stress over income as much (since I have "guaranteed" income from my 9-5 job). What about the rest of you?

Doing massage and running a massage center is my full time job; I also work part time as a personal trainer and do a bunch of volunteer work.

I'm working at a massage school PT and do massage PT. I'm encountering a lot of frustrations though... almost ready to just quit and focus on massage full time!

I do the same Taoist.
I'm Administrator at my brother's school...http://massageschoolnewjersey.com (American Institute of Alternative Medicine), but I love it. Have clients in his clinic until I can build up my client base. Long term, I would love to open my own place and bring in several different services in addition to Massage Therapy.

I checked that I do massage "full time" as my only job, because it is my only job. However, I just opened my practice last month after moving from another state and have only had a handful of clients, so it is hardly full time. I am very lucky in that my live-in boyfriend pays all but my personal bills, and I found a great room to rent part time for only $125/month.

I also am working on a small, natural body product business with my boyfriend and am hoping to start doing some fairs and/or farmers markets to bring in more of the green stuff. I am very curious if any other MT's do something similar?
