I'm adding pain management massage to my menu. It uses a variety of techniques; TP, MET, and general deep tissue massage. I warn that this isn't a relaxing massage with a little TP thrown in. Of course, I'll try and make nice with the muscles afterwards but.... nice isn't the point, getting to the source of the pain is.
I'm sure many of you do this already. What do you charge? and for how long? I figure 90 minutes with part of that time for a detailed intake. The hangup is how much do I charge for it? If it were me, having suffered with RMI, relief would be worth a lot. $90 -90 minutes but a little more than an hour of that is the actual hands on?
The local salon/spa charges about the same for 'deep tissue' as a regular Swedish.
