Yep – Newbie here!
I used to use another board for my information, but it has since gone quite. I am traveling to Shanghai in a couple of weeks and would greatly appreciate some information and suggestions. This will be my first time in Shanghai and my schedule will be fully booked (I won’t have a lot of time to search once I arrive) so I’m looking for the path of least resistance to meat a couple of specific goals.
1. I want to experience the “Red-Rope treatment”
2. I want a close place to find overnight company to my hotel for those nights I am available.
I would prefer to attain these goals while still staying close to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre – but I’m willing to travel to the Expo if there are better hotels in closer proximity to the evening adventures.
Note: I don’t speak a lick of Chinese/Shanghainese, and although I have been to China before, I have never had to worry about my own transportation around town, so as much detail as possible is greatly appreciated!
Also, I will be traveling to Ningbo immediately after Shanghai, any news word on the scene in this area? – I have not seen any postings referencing this city anywhere.
I will be sure to provide a report for all to enjoy.
Thanks in advance,
Inno-
