NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — A therapist at an infamous massage parlor in Newport will be in court Monday morning for the start of his trial.
Kevin Joslin was arrested in September 2022 on allegations of first degree sexual assault, after a woman who went in to the Bellvue Massage and Bodywork parlor for a massage allegedly had to push Joslin off her.
She then filed a police report that she was assaulted.
At the time of his arrest, Joslin’s lawyer told ABC6 the “Sexual encounter was completely consensual.”
His lawyers have also filed to withdraw the case and limit evidence, but the trial date was set last week.
The license holder for Bellvue, Joslin’s brother Seth, had his license stripped by officials, on allegations he had discouraged a woman from reporting another incident.
