After 11 years of business in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, Vida Massage & Wellness officially closed its doors yesterday.

“Due to COVID, we have lost therapists and it was hard finding more to keep up with the demand," states Kristin Eek, Owner of Vida Massage & Wellness.

The centre had been at its current location on John Street, West, Bradford for five years and was perfectly situated near the downtown core.

“The landlord wanted to increase the rent,” adds Eek. “The town did offer some help, but we didn’t get it in time."

Eek also stresses that there was just too much overhead costs to continue to stay at their location, but that she will continue to see her faithful clients out of her home for the time being.

“There’s a lot of demand here in town, we just can’t compete anymore,” laments Eek.

The centre’s naturopath will continue to see patients out of her practice in Richmond Hill.
