Yes, you are correct and fortunately the treatment for those infections is a single dose of azithromycin and doxycycline. But the problem is chlamydia is undetectable clinically, so one must elect to get tested. With gonorrhea, the distinct discharge will tip you off. But, if someone is engaging in risky behavior they should get tested regularly.
