I agree. There are some people that don't like to be told what to do. It's personality disorder called Narcissim, or something of that sort. It's pretty sad.

Narcissism is self-love. Totally different thing vs. disliking and rejecting advice that drips with condescension, from people who've proven time and time again to not respect you.

I suppose one might argue that refusing to vaccinate is showing a lack of care/compassion for those around you, and in a very roundabouts way is somewhat narcissitic. But again, that's going down that road of lecturing a person, especially if you're going to aggressively push such a narrative. Given the overriding assumption of superior judgment involved, I'd tend to argue the lecturer is being more narcissistic than the lecturee in that instance.

Listen, I have my vaccines, so I'm not saying people shouldn't get their shots. I am against pushing my views on people, but I would recommend them to anybody who asked for an opinion. However, sending a mob of social-justice-obsesssed do-gooders after the unvaccinated isn't going to make things any better. Quite the reverse, actually, especially in cases where politics is the prime motivation for why people haven't gotten their shots.

I hate to break it you, but this Covid fiasco isn't over by a long shot. With all the Dumb anti-vazzers, variants are allowed to breed and spread. The cases are ramping up again in the States, after everyone thought it was conquered. I wouldn't be surprised if we face lockdowns again. I hope it isn't true.
