If I see an advert for a Naturist massage I assume that the therapist, be it male or female, will be naked as well as the client.

That's what Naturists do - take their clothes off for various activities in their lives, badminton, cooking, gardening, massage etc.

I personally would like to know that the therapist definitely WONT be naked whilst I may well prefer to be massaged undraped as the paying customer, for the reasons you have stated.

A 'Naturist massage' doesn't exist; it is not a style like Swedish, Lomi Lomi, Aromatherapy, etc. I could understand Undraped Swedish Massage - it would be performed by a naked Swedish bird called Inga Or Full Body (but not all of it unless it is all of it). Seems anyone can read what they want into any description.

Know one really knows, nudge nudge wink wink, know wot I mean?

LOL! The title of your post is 'confused', but I have to say that I'm the one who's confused now. I've read your post a few times now, but I still cannot really see what it is you are trying to say.

That's easy pretty easy! You have a page with your draping style, that mentions the area you work in (make sure you have suburb, town, county, district, surrounding areas etc that people may search for, you are providing a service where people will probably be quite prepared to travel a bit further than normal, but you include THEIR area on your page so when they type in naturist massage in xyz, you make sure that xyz is included on your page. You draping page covers all the details about how it's not really a naturist massage, it's undraped. I generally recommend people do NOT make any reference to anything like no sexual services because when people type in sexual massage your page will come up because the words are there, but for undraped I think you do need to spell it out.

On your home page you just have a couple of .. or a small image, or some other thing people wouldn't think to click on, small enough and/or far enough out of the way that they won't accidentally find it to click on, with a hyperlink to the draping style page, people won't find it going from the home page, but if they type in anything specific about draping, they will find it in search engines. The only problem will be if your family or anyone else you don't want to know about it would be internet savy enough to start searching for all pages on your website and find it that way, they're pretty unlikely to start searching for you and draping without prompting.

Cola, you are a little star!!! For some reason I had it in my head that if someone searched for my website they would automatically be directed to my index (or main) page. It didn't occur to me that a search through Google could take someone to my 'hidden' page!

What a dummy I am! The scary thing is that I am a complete internet addict, so I should have realised that searches can take you to anywhere on a website. D'oh!

Completely off the topic of draped/undraped massage now, but wondering if you could use this technique for SEO - or is it likely to land you in google-jail. Because I work nationally, and run courses in lots of areas, I'm finding it hard to get all the key words in, in terms of location, and I don't really want lots of separate pages, all saying the same thing, but with different locations, and then cluttering up the home page. So would it be possible/appropriate to have a "hidden" page with all the locations and key words listed, linking back to the main site. Does that make sense?

It won't land you in google jail, though if the other pages have too much similar content, they might be penalised due to duplicate content, but if you had quite a bit about the venue/location/directions/dates/etc, plus the course descriptions it should be OK, and a different page name. If you just had almost identical pages and the only difference was the city and the date, it might be too similar for google.

I have a home page and other pages all linking off it and I have a few pages that aren't directly linked to or from the home page that do very well in google, but I do have them listed in my xml site map that is linked to google sitemaps. This is a bit more advanced than what I suggested above, sitemaps are probably the better way to go, but they do require a bit more technical effort and beyond what most people are comfortable doing for themselves. Before google sitemaps came alone, I was doing something fairly similar to what I suggestted with no problems, it's fairly white hat SEO, maybe very light pale grey certainly not bad enough for black hat SEO. Without using an xml sitemap, you do need to have a link from the home page for the 'hidden' webpage to be found by google and be presented in search results.

At last someone who understands...that a naturist massage is NOT a type of massage, I have been practising massage for over twenty years and have been a naturist for nearly forty years...I have been advertising myself as a naturist massage therapist for fifteen years as I am a naturist...now it seems the whole world and their dog is advertising naturist massage, It is a shame that it tarnishes the genuine naturist massage therapists
