I think the US suffers from many of the same issues that we do around the justice system.. revolving doors, overcrowding in prisons leading to early releases.

I was going to make a comment about the recidivism rate in Canada being lower than the US, but tbh, checking stats shown that isn't the case. Recidivism Rates by Country 2024

The 2 year rate is higher in Canada than in the US. Welp, I guess we do need some more serious reform.. or a closer look at the numbers.
