I've been on their mailing list for a couple of years now just waiting for the right time, excuse, and finances. The extra charge for non-cash is relatively new thing and I think I remember a notice in the monthly newsletter when it changed advising of some credit card fee problem for them with the international transactions. Well, it's like any other marketing concept...the pricier the package you go for, the better the companion looked. I went for the Executive-3day. The girl(s) were South American & fantastic. As for Blackbeards....That place looks like AIDS central, the models on the web site were stricly locals and looked like they had quite a bit of mileage on them.
